Equally skilled in glasswork as in printmaking and weaving, Feddersen fabricates his cylindrical baskets in blown glass. […] Like in his prints, layers of glass create a record from ancient geology to recent tire tracks. However, viewing this three-dimensional record requires moving around the vessel to see all sides. Traversing around this glass basket, just like the environment, requires time. While [a] glass basket is more fragile than its woven counterparts, it is still a useful container. It holds the environment’s history and the artist’s story, just as Plateau baskets have always done.
